Health
Primary Health Care
The Tahaddi Health Center (THC) offers community-based primary care services to over 2,000 individuals annually, with approximately 10,000 consultations. A multi-disciplinary team provides medical care, mental health, and psychosocial support. Consultations are free, with medications and lab exams available at minimal cost. The THC is affiliated with the Ministry of Health’s vaccination program and partners with the American University of Beirut (AUB), hosting primary care doctors for graduate training.
Medical Financial Aid
THC bridges the community and healthcare systems through the Tahaddi Medical Emergency Fund, which subsidizes hospitalizations for high-risk cases. Tahaddi medical social workers advocate for patients’ rights, assist with accessing medical services, and accompany patients when needed.
New Mother & Infant Health
THC offers weekly sessions for new mothers, providing essential guidance on infant care. These sessions cover topics such as breastfeeding, baby nutrition, home safety, vaccinations, and maternal well-being. Mothers also receive practical demonstrations, like baby bathing techniques, to help them feel confident in caring for their newborns. The program aims to support both maternal and infant health during the critical early stages.
